Deluxe Suite
(Garibaldi Suite)

Giuseppe Marie Garibaldi was born in Nice in 1807 and went on to become one of the leading figures in the unification of Italy. Sentenced to death by a Genoese court for a failed insurrection in Piedmont, he fled to Brazil where he met his wife-to-be – Anita, who stayed with him in this very accommodation when they were later together in Rome.

A revolutionary in south America as well as Italy, he is famous for the role he played in battles and in forming modern Italy.
